To round off InnoTrans, the 21st railway festival is taking place in Berlin. There are trains from every era, but the main attraction is the steam train.

ÖBB’s Railjet breaks with its tradition of using push-pull rolling stock. At InnoTrans, Stadler unveiled its double-decker KISS 200 (maximum speed 200 km/h) and Siemens presented its train based on the Mireo, with a maximum speed of 160 km/h.

One of the most eye-catching trains at InnoTrans 2026 was CRRC’s Vellink, a prototype of a futuristic, driverless metro train with a circular, glazed front end.

Another new development from Stadler at InnoTrans was the first narrow-gauge hydrogen train: this unit for the ARST in Sardinia, with a top speed of 120 km/h. It is due to be delivered this year.

As the train’s track gauge is 950 mm and the fairground track is of international gauge, the train has been moved using Rail Adventure’s ‘Loco Wuggy’ roller conveyors.

At #InnoTrans, Stadler is unveiling the Euro DuFour, Stadler Valencia’s bid to conquer the European market with a locomotive that is lighter (20 tonnes per axle), more powerful and more efficient than its competitors. Its first customer is SBB. #railonnotrans

InnoTrans 2026 has drawn to a close after four days of events, exhibitions and industry announcements. 175,000 people from 120 countries took part in this 30th-anniversary edition, which welcomed 3,190 visitors from 59 countries. Today we will continue to publish part of our coverage.

At InnoTrans, you can see trains from all over the world, and that’s what makes it unique. One of the vehicles Siemens has brought along is the new train for the Piccadilly line on the London Underground.

The night train operator Nox Mobility has unveiled its first passenger carriage for its night trains at InnoTrans – a second-hand carriage with an interior that has been completely redesigned to improve comfort. Anticipation was at its peak.

Tomorrow morning, one of the most eagerly awaited vehicles will be unveiled: the first sleeper carriage from Nox, the new night train operator, spearheaded by the YouTuber Simply Railway.

Another interesting display of rolling stock at #InnoTrans was CAF’s first battery-powered Civity train. These are 557-series units that will enter service in North Rhine-Westphalia.
